EP1: The Lowdown - The Story Behind Antidote
Welcome to the first episode of The Antidote Edit.
With these Edits, written by yours truly — Alex (Co-Founder of Antidote Apparel) — I’ll be giving you a peek behind the curtain at what goes on at Antidote HQ. Think of it as part journal, part insight into the world we’re building, and part conversation with the people who make this brand what it is.
For this first Edit, it only feels right to start with the lowdown: how Antidote came to life.
How Antidote Began
Antidote Apparel actually began with our sister company, Antidote LDN. Antidote LDN manages residential gyms in premium blocks of flats across London, creating elevated fitness environments for residents. Alongside this, they run wellness workshops and events for large corporate organisations, as well as virtual sessions for clients across different locations.
At its core, Antidote LDN was always built around one thing: bringing elevation to the wellness industry.
Over time, something interesting started to happen. The people attending our events, training in the gyms, and working with our team loved the ethos behind the brand. Naturally, the conversation began to shift toward something else: clothing.
From Wellness Community to Premium Athleisurewear Brand
People wanted apparel that reflected the same philosophy — something refined, something intentional, something that matched the lifestyle they were already living.
So we decided to take that one step further.
What started as a demand quickly turned into a bigger idea: creating a premium athleisurewear brand that people didn’t just wear — but aspired to be part of.
And so, Antidote Apparel was born.
We are no strangers to the feeling that the world moves fast — often too fast. Between work, workouts, social lives, and everything in between, life rarely slows down. Because of that, what you wear every day has never been more important.
Recently, the lines between style, comfort, and performance have started to blur. In doing so, they’ve created a new category of fashion: luxury athleisurewear.

Everyone’s antidote is different.
For some it might be training.
